11). The Rest of Spring 2013

Flowers in my mom's garden
At my boyfriend's university. I took time off from school to help my parents save money. We had plans to go the Philippines for a month as well as Vegas and California to visit family (which we did see them all!). Since I would be traveling in the summer, I didn't get a job in the spring because of my future lack of availability. I also didn't work earlier in 2013 because I had seasonal depression. I got a job that fall after my traveling :) I'm telling you this to explain why I had to much time to keep up with my blog :)
When I've posted the pictures from my trip on my tumblr and all the sets are published, I come up with creative pictures to post next. This is a picture with a turtle on top of it. It looks like she's on her own turtle boat.

But when the big trips are over, I take local trips around New Jersey. This was in the bathroom of my boyfriend's school...Rutgers :)
My boyfriend took this picture :) it's a little lake at Rutgers :)

Fat sandwiches at Rutgers! this one is called the Fat Beach (Bitch) :P
BOBA! mango mm mm mm! and then a movie at Rutgers. I watched Oblivion with my boyfriend on this day

This was also taken at Rutgers!

 and these.
R U rah rah!

The next posts will be about my vacation in the Philippines. Oh my goodness it's been a year since I've been there, and I can't wait to share my stories :) My boyfriend traveled with my family too! He's Italian so it was especially fun introducing him to Filipino culture

10). Beach Hopping too

HAHAHA. I don't know why, but turtle anthropomorphism makes me laugh.
This was on the opening weekend at Seaside. April or May 2013. I publish my turtle pictures sometimes days after I've gone to wherever I was or whatever I did.

Lucky Leo's is still lucky! They survived the fire that would happen in September too!
I also went to the Barnegat Lighthouse. My favorite lighthouse :)

Another beach pic somewhere else :) btw, world turtle day is May 23rd!

For the month of May and part of June on my tumblr,  I had my pictures on queue. The pictures I had taken were set automatically to be posted on tumblr on the programmed day and time. I informed my tumblr buddy, ServiceMonkey, that I was going on vacation to the Philippines for a month and would be unable to be consistent with liking their pictures and replying as much as I love their blog. I have never met this person before, but we have this tumblr friendship because we both do the same thing, toy photography, except this person takes pictures of their sock monkey named Blue :) Thank you ServiceMonkey for being a great friend :)

another beach
and another
since it's spring, there were hardly any people at these beaches. i was not bashful to bring out the turtles! Alrighty, that's it for the beach hoppin posts

9). Spring 2013: Beach Hopping

The following pictures are from March 2013 to May 2013.
I am a pisces, and I am in love with the beach and sea! Perhaps I was a sea turtle in another life :)
I had developed such a strong yearning to go to the beach. I normally go to the beach all year round. Even more so in the fall, winter, and springtime because there are less people. Unfortunately, the beach was closed because of Superstorm Sandy from November 2012 to part of March 2013. When I finally found a beach that was open, I was overjoyed. It was my own personal pot of gold being able to be at the water's edge again.

It was definitely weird being at the beach again because it looked like nothing had happened.
I visited a couple of different beaches. In the previous post, the turtles were in AC. The two pictures here are from a beach in Berkeley. The two below are in a secret spot which I can't say
But lemme tell you, there used to be a fence, shed, and playground here and they got washed away :( I'm guessing the bench survived though. There was a lot less sand at this beach than last time I was here :(

I also went to Seaside.
These picures were taken March 2013. Funtown pier would later be burned down by a fire in September 2013 :(
There used to be a boardwalk here, but it was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
If you visit this part of the Jersey Shore now, you'll see that there are still a lot of construction going on.
This is another beach on the island barrier. I don't know what town I am in exactly, but oopsie daisy the turtle fell!
HAHAHAH OMG I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I FIND THIS PICTURE I TOOK SO HILARIOUS! They look like they're ready to surf. the surfboards are from these surfboard necklaces I had. I wanted to also capture the houses in the background because I think they're beautiful, and someone who lives in a different region than I live in (dessert, farm, etc) might think that this is cool :)
jersey water is dirtyyy. i'm sorry if you're disgusted by it. barnegat bay right here. just focus on the turtle :P btw, help protect the barnegat bay too :)

My boyfriend and I also went to the yacht club where we first met to watch our fellow sailors team race. My camera isn't sophisticated for you to see the sailboats in the distance well, but this guy still looks cute ^-^

there was no one on this dock, so i was free to put all of my turtles out to catch some rays.
don't let this blue fool you! jersey water is still dirty! this connects to the barnegat bay... the same water in the other turtle pictures above this set. I was also able to go to Island Beach state park free of charge before the summer season came :)
I was SOO ecstatic when I saw that IBSP was open again :) Even more ecstatic than a kid with a lot of presents on Christmas day. I love the beach. It's always been my go to place to reflect and begin anew.
